Good afternoon, High School Partners! 

I hope this email finds you well. I am working together with Dean Tassey and his CTE team on the following:

Merced College is hosting a Career and Technical Education Day on March 15, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 2:30 PM for all high school seniors in Merced County interested in learning more about Merced College's career-focused programs. This special event provides an overview of Merced's robust CTE course offerings in Business, Allied Health, Industrial Technology, Ag, Public Safety, and more for students considering career or technical training post-graduation.

EVENT DETAILS:

Date: March 15, 2024

Time: 9:00 AM to 2:30 PM (students should arrive by 8:30 AM)

Who is invited: This day is targeted at HS seniors. Those interested may pursue career programs at Merced College rather than attend a 4-year university, who remain undecided on the next steps after graduation, or who wish to explore Merced offerings as a possible option.

The CTE Day will feature informational sessions that highlight program details, outcomes, and more. The goal is to advertise this opportunity to students who can benefit from it.

If your school is interested, please complete the following:

1. Confirm that your school is interested in attending (email me by January 30th) 

2. Share this Google form with your Seniors in your CTE programs. (if you do not use Google, let me know) 

Merced College CTE Day Google Form

Merced College can accommodate approximately 40 students per high school site; please share and have students fill out the form as soon as possible (need an estimated county by Feb 2nd). While MC can provide the programming details and staffing, schools will need to arrange students' transportation and lunches.
